MY PROJECT
For my project I wanted to take mine and one of my friends Dungeons and Dragons characters and tell their story through a series of drawings. The original idea was to create a few snapshots into my character, My’ia’s life to show a change she is going through. As I started to draw I was inspired by tarot cards and how they can tell a story, I wanted to incorporate that.
I ultimately decided to draw a tarot reading for her past, present and future.
TAROT READING
PAST: THE SUN
Forget Me not
This card represents optimism and positivity and in general is a good card. Biddy Tarot gives the keywords: Positivity, Fun, Warmth, Success and Vitality
PRESENT: THE HANGED MAN
Hyacinth
This card is about letting go. It’s a complicated card for me to explain but the meaning I am going off of is “the hanged man is the card that suggests ultimate surrender, sacrifice or being suspended in time”
FUTURE: THE TOWER
Chrysanthemum
This is arguably the worst card to draw, especially for the future in this case. The tower represents chaotic change. Biddy Tarot gives the keywords: Sudden change, upheaval, chaos, revelation and awakening.
